My mouse came to live with us because of my favorite author – Loretta Krupinski. She wrote and illustrated The Royal Mice– my favorite book. But here's my story. One day I went to the public library when I was 5 -years-old and got the book. I read it over and over. That night I got ill and threw up on the book. Me and my mom cleaned it off and talked to the librarian. She said we may have it. A few years later, we looked at the address of the writer and sent a letter to her. Loretta sent me a signed copy of The Royal Mice. She has been my pen pal ever since and I really wanted a mouse. 3 months later, my wish came true. I GOT A MOUSE for Christmas. His name is Little Francis– short for that is LF.
Hi Sam! It is Lisa. I remember when you did your author project in 1st grade and you made a book about mice.
ReplyDeleteHey Sam its Hunter from your class I liked that story... Verry prafetional. Cool! Your mouse is cute. ReplyDeleteHi Sam! It's Loretta. I really enjoy your blog. I've never inspired anyone to have a pet mouse before and it is really a sweet story to tell. I'm very touched. I'm also glad that you didn't name it Loretta. I have saved many a mouse from Max and it is said that my tombstone will read "She was nice to mice." Good job Sam!
